The Dnghu ('Language') Association is an international, non-profit organization located in Europe,
whose main mission is
to promote the Indo-European language and culture. Its primary concerns today are:
- The development the Modern Indo-European grammatical system, to bring the reconstructed
Proto-Indo-European language to its full potential as a living language.
- Teaching it as a second language for all European citizens.
- The adoption of Modern Indo-European by the European Union as its main official language
- The use of Indo-European (its three main dialects) as the main international auxiliary language,
to reduce present-day communication and cultural barriers.
Indo-European language revival history
Having begun in 2004 as a personal project, it was founded in 2005 as the Dnghu Group.
It reviewed its original aim, of merely promoting the language among university experts,
to become the generally accepted IE language community within a European-lead private,
independent framework, the Dnghu Association. Its infrastructure is located
in Badajoz, a Spanish town near the Portuguese border.
A legal framework for language revival
The Dnghu Association is financed by a private Spanish education company,
Academia Biblos,
and its work is supported by professors from Extremadura University. The regional
Government of Extremadura and other public economic agents
have also supported
the Dnghu projects' present and future implementation.
Proto-Indo-European revival main objectives:
- the building of the Corpus linguistics
- the development of new Vocabulary based on the old one, to match modern needs
- the Use of the language in the media and in educational institutions.
The Dnghu Association will provide organizational, legal, and financial support
for a broad range of projects based on the Indo-European language. The Association will provide
a framework for intellectual property and financial contributions that
simultaneously limits contributors potential legal exposure. Through a
collaborative and decentralized development process, Dnghu projects will deliver
freely available works under pragmatic licenses which make it easy for
all users, commercial and individuals, to further develop and participate
in our projects.
